I think the pitch count should be (to pitch the next game) 40 on a 46 foot mound, 40 on a 50 foot mound, but only 25 on a 54 foot mound. In total, it should be 85, 75, 70. Especially if your in two leagues at the same time. You don't want kids to completely destroy their arms.

for what age or are you saying age doesn't matter just distance? I know some 8u play 38' which in my opinion is to close at any age, they g by innings which is just like no count , at 8 you can throw a lot of pitches in 3 innings. I actually think your totals are way to high. I have watched a ton of 10yo pitch 75 and in my opinion none of them should have, none of them had the same control or velocity and most were rubbing thier shoulder by pitch 50

Why - I got to hear this, sure glad you don't coach my kid, he wouldn't play for you long unless you showed early on that you are watching for te break down and pull them and you understand that can't be 100 pitches

I believe you are correct. My son plays league fall ball as well as tournament (Nations) ball. Pony says you can pitch 4 innigs and then rest 40hrs. I let my kids pitch 2 innings up to a 30 pitch count. Mainly cause we have a lot of pitchers, but they also pitch on the weekends where you go 27 outs max.

sounds like a plan. I'm not sure 2 innings is enough for some kids I've seen. They start pretty slow but for others its more than enough. I don't watch innngs. I watch count, rest between innings and when they start breaking down. I have seen some 30 plus pitch innings.

I heard a coach today say he is going the whole game tomorrow with 1 pitcher, these are u9 , thats 6 innings, I will be surprised if he gets it in under 80 pitches, that to many i think
